Update!

With some help from a very good researcher, the manufacturer's name is Ya Hsin Industrial Company.,Ltd.

The KIDC is the acronym for Kreation (Creation) Ideal Design Center and it has been reported that it is part of Ya Hsin.

Rumors and speculation are pointing to Microsoft as the R&D sponsor. Can anyone confirm or deny?
